CDI - Hotel & Spa Business Development Manager

The role of Spa & Wellness Account Manager will be to implement and manage the strategy for Wellness across the globe. You will have a keen interest in global wellness trends and will ensure our future work at EviDenS De Beauté is carried out with those trends in mind. You will take the lead on directly managed properties, notably our global partnership with Rosewood, and independant spas. You will work alongside the regional sales managers for doors which are managed by their distributors. You will open new properties and spas in line with the budgeted annual numbers, and in keeping with the agreed strategy.

 

As a relatively small team, you will be involved with and will work with all departments, to achieve our common goals. With that comes a fantastic opportunity to learn about many areas of the business. You will be thoroughly supported, and trained where necessary to perform all tasks which are expected to be carried out.

 

Wellness Strategy

  • Create a global wellness strategy, which will be altered to fit each property and spa and implemented accordingly. This strategy will define how we position ourselves, how we continue to grow our existing partnerships, and in which area we focus our efforts for securing new partnerships.
  • You will be required to identify the best technology available on the market that is well suited to our brand, and to create the plan to implement it.

    Structuring the Role

    In order to set yourself up for success you would be required to create and structure the following areas of the business:

  • Work with the marketing department and sales team to produce, review and update the professional ordering process, including offering and pricing
  • Create an easy to understand 'launch pack' that can be used to provide all new spa and hotel partnerships with the necessary info before launch.
  • Reviewing customer assortments and looking for opportunities to increase and optimise them.
  • Define and implement minimum purchase targets per spa type.
  • Work with the marketing department to create spa exclusive offerings.

    Relationship Building

  • Meet all spa and hotel partners in person, or by video calls, or by speaking with them on the phone, every 1 month, to build their confidence in you and to take status on business.
  •  

    Training / Event / VM

  • Working with the training department you will create an annual training program to ensure that all partners are trained, both in person for facial training, and online training for new product launches.
  • Create and secure events in key doors, working with the various departments in order to plan and execute them.
  • Work with the retail excellence and marketing departments, to review and improve the VM in all existing properties.
  • For new properties you will work with the retail and marketing to ensure we maximise the use of any space we have been allocated.

    Visibility

  • Negotiate, secure and execute additional visibility both in spas and online. This will include pop ups in hotels and spas, and the updating of brand pages online.
  •  

    Budgeting / Forecasting

  • Creating and agreeing an annual net sales (sell-in) budget by account. This budget will be tracked vs actual sales and reviewed on a weekly basis and you will be required to meet or exceed the budgeted numbers.
  • Re-forecasting of the budgeted numbers to be performed on a quarterly basis.
  • Use the compiled data to influence the future decision making and to support any departmental requests.

    Market Visits & Travel

  • Make visits to all hotel & spa partners internationally, in person, at least once per year, with more frequent visits to key doors.
  • During these visits you will meet with stakeholders for the partnership, review business, and look for opportunities to improve the partnership.

    PROFILE

  • 3+ years experience in a similar Wellness role
  • A keen interest in Wellness and the global trends
  • Experience in managing international accounts and understanding the nuances of conducting business across differing cultures
  • A good understanding of Powerpoint and Excel
  • A collaborative and cooperative approach to doing business
  • Hands on and willing to get involved and take an interest in all aspects of the business
  • Ability to travel internationally as required by the business
  • You speak English & French fluently - another language is a plus
